In the spring of 2012 we were in Stockton California on a Kingdom Culture mission trip. One Saturday during our time there we were helping a local ministry pass out bags of groceries to the poor and needy. After passing out all the bags we met a young boy who was in a wheelchair out in the parking lot. He was in the wheelchair due to a condition in his brain that caused his legs not to function properly. He said that he wanted to be able to walk, so some of our students and staff laid hands on his head and began to pray for his brain to be healed. After praying for a little while, me and the other staff member at the time pulled him up out of the wheelchair and began to walk with him. Before long he began to walk on his own without falling to the ground! I was so dumbfounded by the whole thing that I honestly thought that maybe he could walk the whole time and that it was just a joke that he was in a wheelchair! He was walking so well I almost didn't believe it. At that moment I looked over at his mother who was across the parking lot and she was dumping tears! Then I knew it was real. His mother explained to us (with tears running down her face) that her son could not do that before we all prayed for him. The young boy put their bag of groceries in his wheelchair and we watched him push it home without any help from others. Praise God!!
